The Life of a Teacher

In INDIA, 5 September is celebrated as Teacher’s day, Happiest teacher’s day to them.

“It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge” –Albert Einstein

The Life of a teacher….. seems to be very simple, limited hours , just to teach something which is a piece of cake. But now let me help you to show a life of a teacher…

A new normal day…. Schools are not yet open but studies are not going to stop. The teachers who were not very acquainted with the technology, but learnt it with blood, sweat and tears. Then its the time for the class, they did not had the study materials, board to teach and proper devices to teach but manage to teach with a smile. After teaching their job is not completed yet, now they have to submit report of the day, complete the attendance sheet, prepare for the next class and attend the confused parents. The personal and professional life is jumbled like earphones. Indeed very simple and easy job.

“The one exclusive sign of thorough knowledge is the power of teaching” –Aristotle

Now lets talk about what students do- To make fun of the teachers when the teacher is confused with the confusing technology and when the teacher do not know which is the best angle for selfie video, students use various stupid apps to edit their faces and circulate them in various students group, . Students keep their cameras and mic off and on being asked to keep it on, they complain about network issues.

” Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire – William Butler Yeats.”

But with a very beautiful smile, they ignore these things. When children speak some funny inappropriate sentences in the whole class about the teachers, with a smile they ignore it . Continuously, speaking for about 3 hr and that to same topic. Such a boring and exhausting job. But yet this job is known to be simple and easy – peasy one .

After adding insult to the injury, most of them are not getting paid for this simple and easy job. I know today is Teachers day , but I think a day is not worth their hard work.
